(they/them) is a young, Black writer from Seattle, WA. they have work published in Diode Poetry, COUNTERCLOCK and Lumiere Review, among others. their micro-chapbook, sympathy for the son, is forthcoming in Ghost City Press' 2024 Summer Series. they are a Best Microfiction nominee, a four-time Best of the Net nominee, and a winner of the 2023 VSA Playwright Discovery Award. their biggest writing inspirations include Danez Smith, Ocean Vuong, Taylor Byas, Claudia Rankine and all their writing friends (love y'all).
outside of writing, they enjoy acting. they may be a theatre major even if it's a terrible idea! their most recent role was Cal, the owner of a post office in a stranded town, in a student-written one-act called Sincerely, After Eights. they hope to become the next Lin Manuel-Miranda, except with just plays because they're aware they can't sing! other things they enjoy include annoying their cat, stargazing and listening to golden age hip hop. they are also currently trying to be studious at whitman college.
